My DIY Oak L Rod Drum Mounting Bracket - 10

Drilled the top two holes first and bolted the two plates together that way every thing will stay aligned while I drill the remaining holes.  3/16" for the corners and 1/2" for the center hole.

I used the top plate as a template to drill 3/16" holes in the oak piece.

Bolted the top plate, oak and bottom plate together.

Drilled hole in knob and added the 1/4" bolt and locknut.

Update: I now use Socket Head Cap Screw Part # 91251A542 and Knobs Part # 94052A141 You can find at http://www.mcmaster.com

Drilled 9/32" holes to mount the mounting bracket to the drum.
