Placed the L Rod into the hole and Slowly tighten the
screw until the anchor is pushed all the way into the hole.
Shows the anchor pressed all the way back into the hole.
I cut off two 2" x 1 3/4" plates from a 2" wide aluminum
bar with a hacksaw. Marked the hole locations with a punch.
Stacked the top and bottom plates on top of each other and place
them in a vice and drilled both plates at the same time.
Drilled the top two holes first and bolted the two plates
together that way every thing will stay aligned while I drill
the remaining holes. 3/16 for the corners and 1/2 for the center
hole.
I used the top plate as a template to drill 3/16 holes in the
oak piece.
Bolted the top plate, oak and bottom plate together.
Drilled hole in knob and added the 1/4 bolt and locknut.
Update: I now use Socket Head Cap Screw Part # 91251A542 and
Knobs Part # 94052A141 You can find
